How much longer will Congress let this carnage continue?
@LaNegresseCanadienne @rbreich Also this happened to the bastards and nothing changed:

On June 14, 2017, a gunman walked onto a baseball field at Eugene Simpson Park in Alexandria, Virginia, opening fire on politicians and wounding House GOP Whip Steve Scalise of Louisiana and four others. @LaNegresseCanadienne @rbreich Yeah, so long time ago the Republican party might have been considered the progressive one of the two. So let me rephrase:
Gun laws will only be made stricter once a conservative president gets shot dead. And perhaps not even then.
@rbreich This carnage will continue until the political donors want it changed.

(I don't condone or encourage violence)
@rbreich "How much longer will Congress let this carnage continue?"

Beyond that, the demographics don't look good; too many people moving into urban environments which tend to select against social conservatism.
"The US leads the developed world in gun deaths, with about 12 gun-related deaths per 100,000 people, according to data collected from GunPolicy.org. Not coincidentally, the country also has a lot more guns. For every 100 Americans, the US has 120 guns.
There are many extenuating circumstances that lead to gun deaths in the US.
Let’s start with the easy one: guns."
