”Labor has committed $1.9bn to the NT’s Petrochemical plant which will convert fracked gas into #gas for export, fertiliser & plastics.
“Not only are there 114 new gas projects and coalmines seeking approval in Aus, the govt is subsiding the construction of factories that will use those #fossilfuels.

Anthony Albanese’s latest plan to subsidise foreign coal and gas companies is just absurd

Fossil fuel subsidies are a stupid idea. We aren’t so much decarbonising our economy as turbocharging its carbon intensity

The Guardian

@VoicesofWentworth we have known since before the election #Labor climate policy was all about ramping up renewables. Powering Australia and Rewiring the Nation policies never once mentioned #fossilfuels while Labor’s national policy platform clearly stated its support for #fossilgas expansion, and with no commitment to phaseout the $11 bn in #FossilFuelSubsidies

@takvera

Yes, no-one should be surprised at their position on fossil fuels. Labor is being very careful not to stray from the 2021 National Platform unless absolutely necessary.
