Anyone… and I mean ANYONE want to hire my #Canadian wife in the United States? We’ll go anywhere.

I need to get back home, and as quickly as possible.

A green card application for us could take 12-20 months. A work visa would be ideal. She is Master’s level educated, works in #Banking w/ #Tech and #ProjectManagement experience.

I am chronically ill and need help asap.

Help me out here, folks. Would it be appropriate to crowd fund to help make this happen? It’s going to cost us nearly 4k Canadian dollars to get the green card application filed + lawyer fees. I’m unable to work - We can’t afford that, like ever. But I also feel bad asking anyone to help us, as I know everyone is fighting their own battle.

Feedback and ideas are greatly appreciated.

@britt I mean, GoFundMe's exist for things like this... right? It sounds like you need a #support structure and you obviously live in the #lgbt community. No one gets to where they're going on their own. Let us help us.

@mentallyalex this made me smile ear to ear. Thank you. I need to get all the financial costs together for full transparency before I ask for anything from anyone. But I’ve been at 45% salary on LTD through the entire pandemic and all this inflation and we just can’t do it alone. My wife has recently been off on disability caretaking for me. The funds just aren’t there - I hope we could find some understanding support.
