Folks, I really appreciate all the new followers since last night. Thank you! I'm trying to catch up now and I will #FollowBack as soon as I can.
But it takes me awhile because since #Mastodon keeps getting larger, I have to make sure that I don't follow a 'bot---an experience which really sucks.
So, I have to examine each of your profiles individually. And if I can't find a bio or see something that you've posted, there's no way for me to tell whether you're a real person.

Hi Don! I enjoy all of the toots you're boosting, please keep it up. Just one question, I followed Stacey Abrams on Mastodon yesterday & it showed a little BOT icon in her profile, so does that mean it's not actually her...?

I don't know the account but, yeah, it's likely a 'bot. Especially if it's been declared as such.
I would really love it if the real Stacy Abrams joined Mastodon. I would follow her in a heartbeat.
Me too...it's an exact mirror of her twitter account, though, with a post from three days ago, so I got confused...wondered if she set that up somehow...
