@Lorrrraaaaine By the way, this "PCID" from the Nitter thread you've linked (and thank you for linking via Nitter) is not some brand-new thing, caused by COVID; it's been well-known for years, that it's not the flu that kills the vulnerable, or puts us in hospital every year or so; it's the secondary bacterial infections that take over after the flu has done its thing.

COVID is no different. It's just doing it to a cohort that isn't used to it, doesn't expect it, and doesn't want to do anything to mitigate it.

@Lorrrraaaaine One last comment on the thread: It's a doomish thread that doesn't take into account that there are likely tens of thousands of people (if not hundreds of thousands) who live our whole lives, bouncing from one cold to another flu to a secondary infection to a gastro bug, and rinse, lather repeat.

We still live our lives and go about our days (mostly) and function (somewhat).

You know what cured that neverending cycle, for me? Lockdown. You know what will cure that neverending cycle, IF it happens to the TABs that want to give themselves (and everybody else, which is the key problem with the flu) the plague twice a year?

NPIs. Masking, 2m apart from others not in your cohort, 15min or less in crowded spaces with people you don't know.

But they're not going to do that. So now the TABs get to experience what it's like for those of us with sh!t immune systems for the rest of eternity.

I mentioned to a Bay Area friend about Grant Wahl’s death & her rationalization was “he needed rest & was over-working”.. I pointed out he’s 48 & I’m 45…I am perfectly capable, if necessary, of pulling over-nighters etc. The denial runs deeper than the ocean. I look at all the photo ops; Warnock’s victory speech, Trudeau in a shopping mall, Pelosi posing at luncheon, Romney at a presser.. all🚫😷

Each #reinfection of #Covid ages your vital organs. Those who exercise no caution are definitely getting infected much more than 2x a year. It’s mutating too fast & it looks like we are doing nothing to try to slow it so..

You know those dogs that sniff Covid? I’m like that but instead of smell, I start feeling sinus pressure/sore throat within 3-5 hours of exposure

🪟open,fans on,filter etc..my spouse came in opened door less than 2 secs & I was trying to be nonchalant b/c he thinks I’m too excessive..& now I’m fighting getting full sick🙄

@Lorrrraaaaine @thespoonless are you in an apartment? I find it so stressful having to mask up just to open the door to get a delivery and then have all the filters running etc etc. my condo has a beautiful roof garden but of course no one masks up there or in the elevators so I’ve just been stuck in my tiny box. I was pretty reclusive before covid but as you said - it’s different when it’s voluntary versus forced. I hope you can fight it off!

@Lorrrraaaaine it's interesting that business seems to have the clearest head when it comes to the effects of letting covid run wild. Money talks, I guess. Hopefully the capitalists will get concerned enough to push through real changes. I've given up on people masking but at least ventilation/filtration should be mainstreamed
