"Toxic advice" is hard to identify, and that makes it fairly malicious.

Watch out for:
- Self-proclaimed "veterans" giving out tips
What works for one does not work for all. Most success is a matter of circumstance, not skill. The illusion of being self-made is a product itself.

- YouTube/Reddit advice as a whole
You don't know these people: they are in no position to give YOU advice. Live your own life.

- High-risk, life-altering choices
If it sounds too risky, it is. Breathe! #gamedev

@retrodev How do you distinguish between good and bad advice then? If you day the entirety of YouTube is malicious advice, well... Whatever could have been said in this world is likely already on YouTube, so if we discard that, what is left, really?

And I do agree with you that every advice needs to be filtered by the receiver - 100%.

@entitledgame That's probably a better way to put it. This is more in reference to serious life and philosophy decisions, and less programming advice.
