I had to delete and repost because I forgot the hashtags. Thanks for everyone who replied!
@evan maybe you consider yet another option in your poll > «everytime evan prodromou has to delete a poll for some reason or other»
@testing It's a bummer!
you are so honest! > i salute you sir ❤️
@evan Are you against editing toots for some reason? :)
@pparescasellas yes. I am still on 3.5, so I don't have editing features yet.
@pparescasellas but theoretically I am 110% in favour of editing toots and having a visible toot version history. It's the right way to do it.
@pparescasellas @evan I like the way this experience works in GitHub Comments and frequently use it for small corrections and have zero idea how editing history would be implemented in ActivityPub.

@ellie @pparescasellas Sure. There's a CRUD interface for AP here:

https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/#create-activity-inbox

I think at one point we had a collection like "modifying activities that have been done to this object" (similar to likes and replies), but I don't see it in the spec, so maybe that'd need to be an extension to start off.

ActivityPub

The ActivityPub protocol is a decentralized social networking protocol based upon the [ActivityStreams] 2.0 data format. It provides a client to server API for creating, updating and deleting content, as well as a federated server to server API for delivering notifications and content.

@evan @pparescasellas hey, if you don’t want to update to version 4.0 for some reason, you can still get an edit features by uncommenting some lines of js
@xarvos @pparescasellas I haven't had the time. I'll deal with it this weekend, probably.
Just to be clear: "never" is "less than quarterly", so select that.
@evan and "evrytim" is daily or more ;-)

This is a very interesting set of results! I didn't think such a large percentage would say quarterly or less.

I'm quick to cry, and I'll do it at very sad news of the world, or syrupy fiction, or deep feelings about family and friends.

I'd probably say somewhere between "daily" and "weekly" here.

@evan I'm quick to cry on circumstances that cause it, but I don't usually come across such circumstances.
@evan I guess it depends. For me to have a bawl with my face in a pillow, not very often. For me to have tears because of a beautiful piece of music, image, or other moment, quite often.
@evan I wasn’t sure how to answer! I don’t cry much from sadness, but almost daily from something beautiful I’ve read/heard, a musical crescendo, a moving thought, etc. I consider these all “happy crying” or at least melancholy.
@evan Very occasionally a movie or telly will, but I don't generally watch that sort of show.
@evan whats interesting is i've gone thru stages - years where it was daily or near daily, and now rarely - can't remember when - its not that i'm happier now, just less in touch with feelings. tho the years where i cried more i had teenagers...
@evan I can be watching a Pixar movie and start bawling at a tender moment. Or a YouTube video. I’m really sensitive. Definitely 1-3 times a week

@evan or at re-establishment of contact after the first skip of atmospheric reentry.

Also: when I'm outside in the wind.

@evan Due to certain medication, it's very hard for me to cry at all.
@evan now are those mostly sad cries or happy cries? That'd be interesting to know
@evan It's always upsetting to all the men in this house. They Don't know that toxins are released crying that aren't released any other way. It's why we last longer!🥲👊😂
@evan monthly probably. I love big and feer for our world. Like I cried because of the night club shooting and because Kristie Alley died. I cry at movies and shows. The only reason I don't cry is from my loving relationships.
@evan It really depends on how often my Python tests fail. 🤭
@evan does crying during commercials or shows count?
@evan Damn, I would say I cry too much, but honestly I think people aren't crying enough. This world is sad, y'all! (Yes it's also fantastic, wonderful, exciting, scary, confusing, and everything else, but definitely *worth* crying about)
@evan I'm lucky to let off about once ever half-quarter decade. Maybe I reverse cry?
@evan I cry a lot. There should be a badge for that. 🏆
@evan is there a distinction between getting watery eyes, feeling emotional, and outright crying? I get a bit weepy pretty often but very rarely have a hard cry.
@creatinglake maybe? I would kind of say when I have an involuntary physical response, like tears or sobs, counts as crying for me. I wouldn't say wistful feelings would count. I am not a certified cry-ologist, this is not crying advice.

@evan This reminds me of the poet, Mary Ruefle's "cryalog" kept during the month of April in 1998.

"‘C’ stands for the fact that I cried, the number of C’s represents the number of times I cried, and ‘NC’ indicates that I did not cry on that day."

@evan hmm, using tusky from an akkoma instance appears to have caused some fediverse compatibility issues lol
