What should be done- but is not, is Chinese language education that reflects the latest science about how COVID is transmitted. Instead, we get "wash your hands" and "wear a medical mask"- interventions we know to be ineffective against Omicron.

We know precisely what a sharp off-ramp from Zero-COVID on the Mainland will look like by looking at Chinese Taiwan and Hong Kong- who have far better healthcare systems. If we do as "well" as TW- over 800k will die in less than a year. If as "well" as Hong Kong- over 2 million.

@SexyCyborg I believe we should call it PCS / Post Covid Syndrome. As it ends with „syndrome“ it‘s closer to „AIDS“ than „Long Covid“. The latter is also most commonly associated with the direct after hit, and not so much with long term consequences.
