@katjost Absolutely! You will learn so much faster, and learn the correct regional signs with your local deaf community! It’s the most important piece! Also, you’ll meet and become friends with some awesome folks!
@jnanney Yes, excellent points! Also, the more time you spend being around signers, the more exposed you get to the different ways people sign, and the faster you learn how to pick up on different “styles.”
