Stunning hummus/dip! Added tin of cannellini beans, tin chickpeas. Piquello capsicum. Sundried no-oil toms. Also, jalapeno. Tahini-free. Added a splash of homemade oat milk. Tiny bit of cumin. Blend all. Less red & spring onion next time.

@paulpeace Sounds yummy. Chickpeas are so versatile. I'm currently experimenting with a chickpea based choc dessert.
@monika oh what a curious thing that is. Let us know how it performs! They do have quite a bit of fat in, so maybe that's a boon for choc?

@paulpeace A couple of weeks ago I bought a "Vegan Hi-Protein Chocolate Dessert". The listed ingredients were: chickpeas, agave, tahini, water, coconut milk, raw cacao, sunflower oil, calcium carbonate, probiotic.

So I thought, this shouldn't be too difficult to make. As I didn't have all the ingredients, I tried something a bit different: chickpeas, a very ripe banana, maple syrup, cinnamon, cacao, tahini, homemade soy yoghurt. That was last week, and I liked it very much.

Yesterday, I ran out of chocolate. So this morning, I cooked some chickpeas, and this afternoon I made another batch, a bit different again: chickpeas, one very ripe banana, cinnamon, hazelnuts, maple syrup, cacao, a few chia seeds. I meant to add yoghurt and tahini, but forgot. It turned out very nice anyway. I topped the dessert with soy yoghurt and sour cherries.
And I still have leftovers, which went into the freezer.

@monika Thanks for sharing the ingredients. Reverse engineering is a lot of fun and we can cut out the crap - often just there for shelf-life.
