I really liked the #StarTrekProdigy episode "Preludes" (the show still never disappoints!!) but the various time travel jumps had me scratching my head a bit, so I just HAD to try and figure out the timelines... And here's another thing too... If the Vindicator has been there for 3 years, presumably she arrived AFTER the Protostar was launched (otherwise she would have infiltrated C's crew (no?)), so that would mean that Chakotay has been missing for over 3 years...?!? 😳😳

We know that Janeway had been waiting a long time to detect the signature of the protostar engine being used. Three years is not unreasonable.

@Trek_Academy @Amalgam000 we also don't know if The Vindicator did anything else. Maybe for 1-2 years she was figuring out what to do and during that course, found Janeway

Then either she forged her Starfleet Academy paperwork, or got into Starfleet without attending the Academy (like Michael Burnham). The Academy presumably takes four academic years to complete.
