@kangaloonatic obviously I didn't grow up with a Christmas tree (although I did sing in the church choir for 6 years...) so I really have no idea what I'm doing.
My husband isn't Jewish and grew up with trees but doesn't get into them now so the kid and I just make it up as we go along!
@IpseDixit I think that each tree is an expression of those who put it together.
