#introduction I work PT for County Council so that I can run my hedgehog rescue.
I started back in '94 as a rehabilitator for a local vet & now with so much more knowledge about #hedgehogs, I equipped my little 'hogspital' in 2014.
I also have 26 years experience with caring for special needs rabbits.
I'm a violinist in the #HertfordSymphonyOrchestra, so love my music, but also a keen artist ( watercolours & pastils) 😊
I'm anti #hunt of any animal species.
I love all things in the natural world
@FunnybunnyQ So beautiful. We have an organic garden with most of the rear garden left to nature, no fences, and fields on all sides but we sadly haven’t seen a hedgehog in years!

@oldbiddy Hi Ann, Have you tried making a feeding station?
Some people said the same, then when they start putting out kitten biscuits, the #hedgehogs arrive.
Feeding stations prevent cats getting to the food.

Your garden sounds perfect.
Planting for butterflies & log piles for insects are ideal. Hedgehog's main diet is caterpillars & beetles.

Do keep me updated.
I'd love to hear if you are successful.

@FunnybunnyQ We have a rubbish heap, log piles and plants specifically to attract butterflies. A woodland area too. Will look into a feeding station. I have a younger friend who lives in a ground floor flat in town and is always taking photos of the ones that he puts cat food out for when they appear. When we lived on outskirts of a town we were always seeing them! too.

@oldbiddy @FunnybunnyQ Hi, Ann. We have 2 feeding stations here but it appears our local hogs have gone into hibernation. I can recommend this fab How To from #PoppysCreche

Btw… Monique aka Funny Bunny is a fount of #hedgehog knowledge 🦔
