@avedik @evan @athenamedia me too -- just saying that the whole idea of federation is there will never be "one correct way" to use these tools and we have more opportunity (and in a sense responsibility) to curate our own experiences here.

@athenamedia @evan As a person who just shared my first thread from Twitter— it was an excellent thread and not available here. I continue to visit the bird site because many worthy and knowledgeable people have not migrated elsewhere. I have opened accounts at multiple alternative sites and so far Mastodon is my fave, but everyone isn’t here. Hate me if you must. 🤷‍♀️

@TerriGlass @evan nobody 'hates' anyone! It's just we're saying we're not keen on conversations simply re-directed from twitter, reports, etc - talk here, talk there, that's fine, but broadcasting same thing to all the platforms isn't a social conversation. Best of luck.
