Fahim Farook@jeremy_mcgibbon Following particular hashtags like #MachineLearning lets you find people who are posting on that particular subject and when you find one who consistently posts interesting stuff, you can follow them.
Or, you go through the following lists of people doing interesting stuff and then follow them. That’s the methods that has worked for me.
While a user finder might be useful, I believe historically people on Mastodon might be averse to that for other reasons …
