A lot of folks are asking me for tips on #Mastodon. I'm not an expert, but here are a few things I've learned:

- #Hashtags help to connect with others who share similar interests.

- Mastodon wasn't set up to encourage snark & reward cruelty so it's not a race for 🔁 & ❤️.

- Share what you’re passionate about & ignore follower counts.

- Cross posts & quotes from #Twitter look odd.

- @feditips is a good follow for understanding the #Fediverse
