Anyone else have trouble parting with things for this reason? (I certainly do sometimes!)

@transponderings yes, absolutely, a huge part of it for me
@transponderings it took a lot of work to get over it and now it only happens with special items and ones that look like creatures
@skye Yes, anything that looks like an animal, I have a *really* strong attachment to
@transponderings
I love these graphics that ‘mightbeautistic’ makes, and they’re on Mastodon! @MightBeAutistic
…also on Twitter! Great acc 🙌
And yes, completely agree with the sentiments in this post 😄
@transponderings Things have had a place in my life and my room for so long that they are part of 'me' (fsvo) so even if they aren't used now they still loved. Can't get rid of stuff. even though I know that I should.
@transponderings I truly thought I might be the only one! It feels so incredibly illogical but absolutely stops me in my tracks frequently. I kept a car, under cover and unable to start, for TEN YEARS because I couldn't get past the guilt of how the car might feel being towed away...
@transponderings Yes! I know there is more to it than that, but I certainly feel deeply for things sometimes as if they were people.
