@Tribo @chadloder @fracturedopal yeah, the apps are not recommended. On Github, the developer has told me they're intended to be barebones/simplified. I'm trying to convince them to make that clear on the store listing.
I'm using Tusky on Android and you can use the web application on mobile.

@KeithDevlin I quite agree (although I prefer the simplified interface in multiple tabs personally), but that's a user experience matter, whereas "built from the ground up as a Web-based platform" reads as a statement about application architecture.
@chopsstephens Only to an engineer ๐. I see digital stuff as designed user-tools and user-experiences, and that's what I study and what I usually speak/write about. I'm more in the Steve Jobs camp than Steve Wozniak. We clearly don't disagree on anything here; just different contexts. (Including my preference for the simple interface, but having the choice is a good design feature other users will select -- as I too might on occasion.)
