I was a very late bloomer - partly from living far from others, partly from choice. Therapy could have helped. Self therapy finally did. My advice would be to definitely get out and socialize. Date as you feel comfortable with it. Learn all you can about people.

@JHB17 that is some solid advice. Thank you. I agree with the “get out and socialize” but one caveat I would add is “Get out of your hometown”. Leaving your hometown provides a perspective and an opportunity to grow.
