Here are the best Mastodon instances to join:
Stemy@itsfoss A big masto server is not always the best option, the moderation tends to become more efficient on little servers and if everybody join big servers, it makes mastodon less decentralized.
@stemy True, which is why we have also linked the portal through which users can explore other available servers.
We did notice a variety of users having a bad experience joining servers they know nothing about. So, it could be a good start for some to join active communities.
If you are aware of such communities known for their warm welcome to users, feel free to let us know, and we will add the recommendations :)
@itsfoss You could also add that people don't have to subscribe to a particular server to be able to talk with members of the said server, it's not obvious for many new users.
