Back in the day I discussed comic books with someone at NASA through Usenet and used Gopher to get song lyrics.
After completely failing at university in the 90s I've had a decent career in IT anyway. Currently I'm a Service Delivery Manager by day, while I complete a degree online through #Coursera. I'm a huge supporter of the #MOOC concept.

I'm also a #UniversityOfLondon #tutor in #computerScienceEducation, working on #graphicsProgramming in #JavaScript & #ObjectOrientedProgramming in #cplusplus. My preferred language is #python which I'm using as a student in #artificialIntelligence, #machineLearning, and #naturalLanguageProgramming.

How long on the internet?
Hard for me to say. Was dialing into Compuserve in the early 90s. Not sure when I got onto the internet. I can remember being impressed at doing multiple downloads using Win 3.1 (?) from somewhere.
