For today's theme of thankfulness, I really am glad for the incredible view in my new front yard--even if a lot of it is a construction bomb zone for now. Mother Nature's daily light show is amazing.

@JulieNye How are you for water and septic? You have power or are you off grid?
@komputernik Very fortunate to have found (lots of research) an area with an excellent aquifer. Solar-powered private well & distribution. High-quality, plentiful water. Electricity was a major hit in the wallet, but that got worked out last summer. Who knows how long I'll be living in an RV, though!
@JulieNye You brought power to the lot?
@komputernik Yes. It was already at the road. Bought acreage in an eco-community where that was already established. Still pretty expensive to get it inside the property, though.
@JulieNye Yes I know. I have an off grid cottage on a mountain lake in very rural Quebec. The nearest pole is 5km away and would cost over close to a million dollars to bring up the hill.
@komputernik Okay, I just had a good laugh at myself. All my rambling, verbose descriptions, and then I just noticed the power meter visible at lower right.

@komputernik If you zoom a bit on the photo above, you can see the power poles out on the road, barely visible against the mountains, prob about 1/3 in from left side.
