@violenceworks made our rats a tiny vintage computer and monitor.
They mainly use it for games and Windows Movie Maker.

@kscottz @violenceworks I really miss our rats. Been many many years now:(
So who is viewing that Viewsonic?
Also those small cases look fantastic. The old school ones had so much charm.
@kscottz @violenceworks
Lovely users, could cuddle them all day.
But now you got me intrigued, where did you get the STL files from? π₯Ί
I made it. Found a tiny, high-res LCD on Aliexpress, made a 3D printable shell for it. I'll publish all of this in a bit.
@kscottz @violenceworks
Man, I'd love to have that. I always wanted a third monitor for my PC that looked retro. I was going to go get one of the replica macintoshes with an LCD in it from AliExpress, but the reviews aren't great. apparently the power supply is pretty poor.
If I knew anything about electrical engineering, I might have got one and tried to put a better power supply in it. The pc inside it is apparently mini-ITX, so I might be able to use a molex to power it, who knows.
@kscottz @violenceworks wait where did you get that BeOS case???
Do want!
+1 for having the X68000
Image 1: a rat looking at a tiny rat-sized ViewSonic CRT monitor, with a spooky 3D video of rats playing
Image 2: a rat next to the same tiny CRT, this time running Doom, with two SBCs next to it in cases that look like an X68000 and a BeBox
@kscottz @violenceworks *GASP* A BeBox!
The world needs to know: do the Blinkenlights work???
Yes, the blinkenlights are controlled by the Pi through an I2C GPIO expander. Currently, both sides just display the total CPU percentage. There are four cores on the Pi so I can't make each side be a single core. Well, I could, but I'd be missing half the cores.
@kscottz @violenceworks What movies do rats make with their tiny computer?
DO THEY ALSO HAVE TINY CAMERAS AND RECORDING EQUIPMENT?
Imagine a rat anchor in a tiny suit delivering the rat news...
