The German football team protesting against being silenced by FIFA โœŠ #WorldCup2022
@bestforbritain Very powerful. Well done Germany.
@bestforbritain and it's reported that FIFA are looking at sanctions against them for this, which tells you all you need to know about the money obsessed corrupt organisation that is FIFA. #germany #worldcup #FIFAWorldCup #fifa #FIFA2022
@bestforbritain
A meaningful protest would have been not to go there in the first place. They're covering their mouths but still opening their wallets.

@bestforbritain thatโ€™s nice but I keep wondering why FIFA made the decision to hold the games there at all since the country was wholly unsuitable.

FIFA is corrupt and the rights of players and fans will keep being ignored until itโ€™s cleaned up.

@inklings @bestforbritain lots and lots and lots of money / โ€œpromisesโ€ having something to do with geology, fossil fuel, current and past colonialism, and regional and global geopolitics.

@bestforbritain @javavoretext

I wouldnโ€™t be at all surprised if there werenโ€™t direct payoffs. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ

@bestforbritain Unfortunately it's just part of being in Qatar.
@bestforbritain 6 players wore rainbow boots as well. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿฝ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ๐ŸŒˆ
@bestforbritain que pena que perdieran el partido.
Ahora el gesto queda algo ridรญculo
@bestforbritain They look like they are about to vomit everywhere.
@bestforbritain This would be better with duct tape. Just sayin
@bestforbritain
Interesting to see. In Germany the view is more critical, because they gave in to FIFA demands.
@bestforbritain more balls than Kane and the English team.....well done Germany!
@bestforbritain #NotImpressed, TBH. These inconsequential gestures are getting old
@manuelfherrador @bestforbritain If they made a nazi symbol we would not dismiss that as inconsequential. Speech acts, especially in front of huge audiences, have influence.
@jmmcd @bestforbritain If they made a Nazi symbol, there would (fortunately) be consequences. This leads nowhere, especially after their not wearing the rainbow bracelet.
@manuelfherrador @bestforbritain there would be legal consequences, but that law exists only because we know that speech acts have real consequences anyway.
@manuelfherrador @jmmcd @bestforbritain it has led to people (including yourself) talking about it and thus highlighting the issue. It's a small gesture, but every little helps
@manuelfherrador @bestforbritain true. Nothing happens unless and until the larger national associations force FIFA's hand
@bestforbritain ๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒˆ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŒˆ #Qatar2022
@bestforbritain it would have been better had they all passionately kissed each other. Is it gay? No, does it look gay? Yes. Arrestable no. Cute for sure and more attention grabbing
@bestforbritain Enough of this world conservatism due to old and outdated religious beliefs. Religion is a short cut to thinking. #onelove No more #MAGA people!
@bestforbritain They are showing respect for their former trainer.
@bestforbritain I find this kinda stupid. They made their true stance clear, when they decided to participate.. Every country who believe in equality should have boycotted FIFA and the World Cup even tho it meant a ban at the next World Cup
@bestforbritain the whole team could wear rainbow bands, though
@bestforbritain Respect Qatar ๐Ÿ‡ถ๐Ÿ‡ฆโค๏ธโค๏ธ
@bestforbritain Well England ?๐Ÿคจ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ค

@bestforbritain see, England, it's easy when you try just a little bit.

Well done Germany.

@bestforbritain an excellent gesture .. when faced with ridiculous threats .. well done guys ๐Ÿ‘
@[email protected] Lol... Try flying a Palestinian flag or wear a kaffiyeh in Germany... Both are banned. Write an article critical of Israel and you lose your job. Western hypocrisy.
