I spent a couple of hours on a call this morning while occasionally glancing over at the fox in the garden, wishing I could go back to bed and curl up as well. Unfortunately, I have to make a living.

When he left yesterday afternoon he was still limping. Looked like he couldn't put any weight on his right hind leg at all. Otherwise he looks pretty healthy for a London fox.

About 3 hours in, and he finally noticed me. Tried to go back to sleep, but I think the neighbouring dogs spooked him a few minutes later, because he suddenly got up and ran to the back of the garden.
Four hours, actually. Time is going too fast, damn it.
And he's back, and enjoying the sun after rearranging the pillows (he was grabbing them in his mouth and moving them around to get comfy)
@vidarh what a pretty backyard friend
@vidarh
So beautiful. What a joy to see thank you
@vidarh that's beautiful. He's very lucky to have such a welcoming back-yard-owner.
@vidarh i love him!! Her?
@kaizan I think it's big enough that it's likely a male, but pretty hard to tell from a casual look at a fox so honestly I'm not sure.
@vidarh I'd risk the rabies to be able to pet him. We have some of the red ones in Anchorage and we have the Arctic Foxes further north. They're so pretty and smart!
@kaizan Almost no rabies in the UK, but for petting I still stick to the neighbour cat that drops by regularly... She is very friendly.
@vidarh this is one of mine. You're better off trying to pet the fox.
@kaizan Cute, but looks like trouble... I *have* gotten my fair share of bites and scratches from cats. Thankfully the youngest neighbour cat *loves* cuddles and comes running to my garden door usually about once a day to get some attention.

@vidarh OMG! He's really clean looking. We have foxes in our neighborhood, but they are all really mangy.

You can hear their cries at night. Sounds like a mean baby wrestling a horny tomcat.

@vidarh this fox is legendary, and I want to be its friend! Please keep us updated on what’s happening!
@vidarh Proper commitment to comfort.
@vidarh πŸ˜† gives β€œbeing foxy” a whole new meaning & I fer one embrace the change. Go on ya foxy.
@vidarh Dog hardware; cat operating system.
@vidarh Where have I heard this? πŸ•
@vidarh I was working on my allotment yesterday up on the South Downs when a beautiful specimen sauntered across my plot. We looked at each other. I told him he was gorgeous and he sauntered off - an hour later he sauntered back again. He listened to me for a few minutes got bored and went on his way. No fear at all at I stood very still. 🦊❀️ Such a privilege
@vidarh this was mine a few years back. That was the cat's bed. She wasn't very pleased to find foxy on her chair.
@mojomoomoo I can imagine. Had one of the neighbour cats stare down a fox in the garden a few years ago...
@vidarh they usually recover quickly from that kind of injury πŸ‘

@oliverturner Amazing pictures.

@vidarh as you are discovering, it is impossible to take a bad picture of a fox πŸ˜€

(But thank you for the kind words: my wife will be delighted that you liked them)

@vidarh
Hilarious. He looks very comfortable.
