Cycling in India was a real joy. I made my route mostly by using Google *walking* directions which led me down narrow dirt roads between fields and away from traffic. When there was traffic it felt very practical. Sometimes daring but never aggressive.

Food and drinks were always available and I ate so many aloo paratha. Can you get any better cycling food than bread stuffed with potato?

Wherever I went people always stopped to say hello, have a chat and take a selfie. #BikeJoy #Biketooter

@toddtyrtle Great pictures, makes me nostalgic for rural India.
@madamscientist Thanks! I'm also feeling nostalgic. Ready for another visit - maybe next November or so.
@toddtyrtle
Your adventure sounds fabulous. I travel vicariously through you and all your fellow travelers. Thank you for sharing!😌
@SuZenArt Thanks! It was wonderful. Now I also travel vicariously through my memories. Hoping that I can get back to a bit more travel and adventure in 2023. Fingers crossed!
@toddtyrtle That sounds delightful. How was the heat? Was it hilly where you were?

@pgh_gamer I was in the Aravalli foothills so moderate hills but mostly flat.

Not hot at all. I left Delhi in early December and needed a light windbreaker in the morning. It would get up to around 20C. Glad I didn't wait any longer as it gets really cold in Delhi. Some mornings were just above freezing. Next time I will do it when it is warmer. Maybe late winter - February or early March are nice there.
