Wayland's Smithy on Oxfordshire Ridgeway is a Neolithic Chambered Long Barrow once believed to have been home of Wayland Saxon God of metalworking. #Archaeological investigations indicate that 14 People were interred in an earlier structure between 3590 & 3550BC before larger barrow was constructed around 3460BC as seen today (recent reconstruction asides following excavation in 1960s) #TombTuesday #NeolithicNovember #Archaeodon #folklore
