@Richard_Littler I get it, but I have issue with this for a number of reasons. 1) My personal information is important to me, I'm not on any other social media, and any forum sites etc I'm on don't contain any of my personal info. 2) I long for the days of an anonymous Internet, one where people didn't plaster their details everywhere but rather used handles. 3) Just because I don't want my details here, doesn't mean I'm a bot! 4) People should be allowed to go by whatever name they want.

@Richard_Littler I'd also plead that people use proper names. I'm getting a lot of followers now who tell me nothing about who they are, only that they're Remainers and hate the Torons. Meanwhile, many social media pals are just reproducing stuff they post on Twitter here and not using Mastodon actively at all.
