LouiseAfter having to leave medicine 5 years ago I now, finally, find myself nearing the end of a whole pile of medical and surgical interventions. My first big step is addressing the impact of my experience and accepting the physical limitations I am left with, the next step is then exploring what to do next? I’m inclined towards returning to learning but I’m not sure where to start and I would appreciate any pointers on #OpenUniversity #DistanceLearning #TeachingAnOldDogNewTricks
Shellie@LouiseSimms Firstly, sorry to hear about the difficulties you must have had. I definitely highly recommend the Open University for both academia and restoring a bit of self-worth. I lost my career through health, but I've made the most of learning new things which keeps my mind occupied and the grey matter ticking. I'm not saying it's as easy as it might have been previously, but excellent tutor support gets me by.
