16/06/2026 - Train trip up north today to visit the newly opened Inverness Castle (it was pretty good). Also a look round the museum and art gallery next door then a lovely walk down the river to Inverness Botanic Gardens. I really liked the gardens, small but the vibe is perfect. A peaceful place for a wander round then a sit for coffee and cake before heading back to the train and journey home.

15/06/2026 - Day out in the Ladder Hills, the borderlands between Aberdeenshire and Moray. It was pretty wonderful. Lots of wild flowers, mosses and lichens to look at. Birds were great too, golden eagle, ring ouzel, common sandpiper and red kite. Top walk, happy Spaceways today.

We thought we'd head west to St Ives before the worst of the summer rush

It was surprisingly chilled for a sunny Sunday in June ⛱️🏄‍♀️ #Cornwall

10/06/2026 - Something a bit different to my usual evening walk today. We went into Aberdeen this evening for a talk about the artist Joan Eardley. It was really good and we took the chance to see two of their works in the University library on the way.
