I live in Melbourne, Australia πŸ‡¦πŸ‡Ί and we have a rail bridge here known as the Montague Street Bridge.

This bridge is quite low and has 26 warnings on approach, but drivers of tall vehicles repeatedly drive directly into it, demonstrating impact with an immovable object.

Every time the bridge survives, I think how smart the engineer was who designed it and what they might think about this website.

How Many Days Since The Montague Street Bridge Has Been Hit?

@cait I love this video where someone witnessed an accident there while filming a mini documentary about accidents there https://youtu.be/HR7NivKqfzo

@joannaholman πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ thank you! I have never seen this.

For anyone who has never heard a gantry warning ⛔️ it sounds like a sack of bowling balls being run over by a quad bike.

@joannaholman @cait We watch that channel. He did a bunch of stuff in Singapore too during the pandemic. Btw the Perth equivalent - https://howmanydayssincebayswaterbridgehasbeenhit.com/ It's being replaced so it might have fed for the last time.
How Many Days Since The Bayswater Bridge Has Been Hit?

Tracking the number of days since Baysie claimed a new victim. Long live the 3.8m clearance!

@joannaholman @cait he does some quality Melbourne videos. Stuff I just haven't learned in the 15 years of living down here
