Good morning, folks!
Every Sunday morning on the bird site I used to either do a thread on a topic my followers suggested or engage in a little Q&A. I figured I’d do the same here to see if we can make the new space feel a little more like home.
Maybe intros to start? I’m Kaz. I’m a former teacher turned journalist. My beats are politics, the MeToo movement & education. Currently I’m a staff writer for The Penny Hoarder. I live in Utah with my two kiddos, a spouse & my senior rescue dog.

@kazweida Hello! I'm Steve. I live in NH, work as an Emergency Room Tech, live with my wife and four dogs (3 of which are rescues). I love cooking and smoking food, dad jokes, puns, reading (sci-fi is my favorite, but I read other stuff too). Love to go on road trips with my wife, and definitely a huge fan of zombies ( Night of the Living Dead, 1968 version is a favorite).

@kazweida You are one of my favorite people to follow on any platform. I'm a nonfiction writer and editor in the PNW. As a progressive, I feel roughly equal parts despair and hope about the future. I similarly toggle between being amused by human behavior and depressed by it.
