This week’s test car is a very blue Ford Grand Tourneo Connect; a VW Caddy Life with some paper-thin tweaks to Fordify it (and consequently it gets the awful latest-gen VW infotainment, which is almost a deal breaker). But it is surprisingly comfy, good to drive, and has a very gutsy (and pretty economical) diesel engine. More expectedly, it’s roomy and super versatile, with seven folding/tumbling/sliding seats, and an adept family hauler. #ontest #ford #vanlife #weirdcarmastodon
@Scrof smart looking beasts these. Endlessly practical too. I need van/car in my life at some point.
@mrjalco @Scrof is there much of a price difference between either? They make so much more sense than a CUV
@mrjalco the infotainment makes it hard to recommend this one which is a shame because it’s excellent in almost every other way!
@Scrof @mrjalco As the only other option is EV-only (thanks Stellantis) then this will sell well, and lots of people will have to put up with the dreadful software.
@CrackedWindscreen @mrjalco yes, I suspect you’re absolutely right!
@Scrof To Americans it must be so weird to see a Ford that's actually a Caddy.
