Tonight’s schedule is looking like a belter:
1. Veg chilli with Garic Naans (I like to mix food cultures, shush)
2. Watch Enola Holmes 2
3. Watch the F1 highlights with a beer or two
4. Big sleep in a freshly made bed - assuming I don’t fall asleep on the sofa

Proper night off that.

Think the main difference between the two platforms is that on Twitter when you make a joke you get one haha and two death threats, whereas on here you get one haha and someone earnestly explaining the 6th century origins of the specific road that particular chicken crossed. Yet to decide which is more distressing.
Love the fact that there’s a function to hide spoilers etc here. So much better than… elsewhere.
Tried to post wholesome #doggos content. Realised you can’t upload videos here (newbie error, I know). Am now a little sad.

Had my first experience of a "I don't believe you made this yourself has to be AI, what keywords do you use" style comment.

Yay.

These people can get in the bin.

Have friends coming over for tea/dinner (delete according to how northern/southern working-class/posh you are).

First time in ages because of *waves at everything*.

Won’t lie, am terrified. My usual anxiety is ratcheted up to 11 and a bit more. Stupid brain!

As most of you will have seen, his Muskiness tried to come across all well read by using some Latin. Delightfully it just reveals how dim and culturally illiterate he really is, as the full quote literally means the EXACT opposite of what he’s saying. The man is a duffer. Context is king, people. Context is king.
Musk has used "Vox populi, Vox Dei" to justify reinstating Trump on #Twiiter. But the quote is from a letter from Alcuin to the Emporer Charlemagne urging him to resist such ideas, "Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit." Which translates as "And do not listen to those who keep saying, 'The voice of the people is the voice of God', because the tumult of the crowd is always close to madness."
