I suppose I should start posting (tooting?) stuff here. Here's an extremely lucky shot I got of a great blue heron at Colusa National Wildlife Refuge a couple weeks ago.
@jausel Fantastic shot! I especially love the feet. 😀
@jausel Oh man! That is so focused, it looks like it is just hanging in air!
@jausel WOW. That's a great picture. I feel lucky if I get a picture of my puppers that isn't blurry.
@Cognac Omg, it’s almost impossible to get decent photos of my dogs! I think they move at light speed when a camera is pointed at them!
@jausel My Pom hides from the camera. As soon as you point the camera at him, he starts to move. I have managed to get some good shots of him, but lately, nothing. He hides. He's weird.
@Cognac My Jack does the same thing!
@jausel beautiful shot! We get them here in the Bay Area. They hunt rodents.
@dawnhumphrey I know, it’s crazy the size of critters they can eat! I saw one at Don Edwards NWR a year or so ago catch and eat three lizards in quick succession!
@jausel This heron regularly comes after the meadow has been mowed and hunts with the coyotes.
@jausel perfect shot, well done!
@jausel Omg that shot is incredible !
@jausel This is *incredible*! So cool to see the wingtips just barely brushing the surface of the lake
@jausel that is an absolutely amazing shot!
@jausel Whoa! That is a spectacular shot!
@jausel That is an amazing photo!

Please do check out #Pixelfed as well, you can share pictures there.

@jausel WOW! That would make an amazing linocut.
@GregStolze That would be really cool — I love linocuts!

@jausel (Everything I see these days, I'm like "Hm, how would I turn that into a print?)

I shared this'un the other day...

@jausel just followed you❤️ birds

@jausel that is great photo!

@dawnhumphrey, wow I never knew that herons ate rodents!

@thomasb @jausel Herons are opportunistic feeders and in the summer will often go where the rodents are
@jausel I wish that one were mine! 🙂
@jausel Just the most magnificent birds. We have a few of them pass through here every year. Last Summer we saw some with chicks.
