First negative temperature stretch. Didn't get good enough weather beforehand to spray, so will be manually descaling daily 😖

@Kymberly I managed to save my Avocado and my Kaffir lime by dabbing the scales with a drop of oil (each one I found) persistently for weeks - sooo much work, but I would do everything for my 20+ years old Avocado (mini-)tree.
@Katztronaut Any particular oil? We’ve been squishing them off - the oil method sounds much less icky!
@Kymberly I read that if you squish them off, you can spread the mites that grow under the shield even more, so you have to suffocate them with oil first. I think you can use any you have at hand, but I recommend one that doesn't get rancid, like olive oil or cooking oil - I use leftover camellia oil atm, but I have also used plain cooking oil before. ^^ After dabbing them with oil, you can also wipe them off pretty easily after a few seconds I found.
