Some more #introduction.

I work for a charity in the UK called The Restart Project (https://therestartproject.org). We help people learn how to #repair their broken things; we get stuck in with organising community repair activities and supporting independent repair businesses; and we campaign for the #RightToRepair.

I also volunteer at my local #RepairCafe, fixing IT equipment.

The Restart Project - The Right to Repair and Reuse Your Electronics

The Restart Project encourages and empowers people to use their electronics longer in order to reduce waste. Join or host a Restart Party in your community

The Restart Project
@neil I do more with #RepairCafe than #RestartProject but as a techy I'd like to see if I can do more with helping fit IT kit. Our #RepairCafes are listed on your site but if you have more suggestions, I'm all ears.
@fuzzyface Just running a repair cafe is brilliant! If you can, uploading data about the things you fix can help feed into policy changes, see https://openrepair.org. If you wanted to get involved in #RightToRepair campaigning, your group could sign the https://manchesterdeclaration.org if not already. You could also look into a permanent local repair base like a Fixing Factory - https://fixingfactory.org . Or a local computer/tech reuse initiative for digital inclusion - https://therestartproject.org/where-to-donate-your-computer/
Open Repair Alliance

The Open Repair Alliance is an international group of community repair organizations committed to longer-lasting electrical and electronic products.

@agora @neil Will try to add to this.
@neil Looking at uploading to #openrepair as we currently use #RepairMonitor and the interface isn't great. Thanks for that.
