My great grandfather lived in the states during #WWII. He stored the belongings of #Japanese families interred during the war and helped them get back on their feet afterwards.

cheryllovestoread@georgetakei George, I remember vividly reading Farewell to Manzanar in school and have always carried the outrage I felt learning that this was done to Japanese Americans. Recently our oldest area high school awarded diplomas to those who were taken right before graduation. I’ve always wanted to personally say “I’m sorry” to someone who experienced this injustice. Please accept my most sincere regret & thank you for continuing to educate on it. Best wishes on your London show.
