The larger ones seem to have improved their infrastructure for scalability after the recent spikes. Small instances might get into trouble in the coming days, though. But new instances will be created soon, i am sure.
@rwutz @mastodonusercount Yeah exactly that. I hope that what the larger ones have done is enough for now to sustain the massive tidal wave incoming.
From what I remember happening shortly after I joined, they had issues where sending stuff across instances was casing the most issues as once one slowed, it has some knock on issues. With that being said I think lots was done to address it since. I’m just a newbie though so that all could be a load of nonsense.
