BigPete@patrickklepek @lashman I’d agree with this mostly but some things are a bit weird. Mostly the way threads work and no QTs. Also following people has extra steps if they aren’t on the same instance as you.
@BigPete @patrickklepek not necessarily - you can use the search field to search for handles or even profile links :)
as for QTs - it's one of the anti-harassment measured, and actually a pretty good thing imho :)
Turns out the issue with following people is an iOS thing. Works fine on the desktop. As for the QTs thing, I agree that it's good. It's just different from the other site and might take some folks a bit to come around to it.

@patrickklepek basically like twitter circa 2008. no algorithms so follow lots of people to fill your home timeline. search hashtags #gaming #videogames #horror etc. to find more folks to follow, and also follow the hashtags themselves as well. lastly, go into preferences, and turn on "advanced web view" - turns the web app into tweetdeck.

Zac Knapp@patrickklepek it's actually very similar to Twitter minus the timeline. You're only getting fed posts from people you follow which makes the entire platform feel more relaxing. At least for now.
