Yes, I work there.https://www.theverge.com/23519135/mastodon-verge-staff-where-to-find

Sometimes my hoarding of random stuff actually works out in my favor and it simultaneously delights and disgusts me.

Like, oh yeah.. I DO have a hard case that perfectly fits a PS5 and accessories so I can take it on the bus to the city. In fact, I have TWO of those cases. And they’ve both been sitting unused in pretty much new condition for like.. what, SIX years? This is gonna work out great, Antonio. Also, you’re a real piece you know that?

Months ago, @seanhollister and I were nerding out about our Steam Decks and wondering why this one brand, Jsaux (which we kept debating on how to pronounce), was cornering the market on accessories for Valve’s handheld. So we interviewed them, and I wrote about how this rando Shenzhen-based company made its mark with Steam Deck accessories, and what it’s next moves are.

How Jsaux rode the Steam Deck to escape the Amazon wilderness

What caused a no-name Chinese accessory maker to become the go-to choice of accessories for Valve’s Steam Deck?

I love that Nikon brought new shutter sounds to the Z9 via firmware, but frankly I don’t think it goes far enough. Here’s my take for The Verge on why I think all camera companies need to do more with the sounds and tactility of our cameras as we eventually lose mechanical shutters.

Shutterless cameras deserve good shutter sounds

Nikon added new fake shutter sounds to its Z9 flagship mirrorless camera with firmware 4.0, but it could be doing much more.

How does strawberry shortcake taste like a kool-aid that’s both slightly creamy and also alarmingly gritty?

Inspired by the recent Vergecast vs Waveform trivia episode, I'm drinking six year-old G Fuel for the sake of a Friday s̵h̵i̵t̵p̵o̵s̵t̵ quickpost on the verge dot com

Raise a glass to the Vergecast vs. Waveform tech trivia competition! - The Verge

If you didn’t catch the recent podcast bonus episode pitting the Vergecast crew against Waveform in a round of tech trivia, it’s a great Friday afternoon listen. There’s a segment about G Fuel gamer energy drink flavors that had me in stitches. It also reminded me I have a stash of the stuff from, like, I think PAX East 2017? Why not finally try it? Salut! 🥂 “Yes, hello? Poison control?”

My first entry to our ongoing Button of the Month series! I wrote about the band release buttons on the underside of the Apple Watch.

It was fascinating to learn that Apple bought the same CNC machines as Rolex just to cut the slot for its slide-in straps.

The unsung heroes of the Apple Watch are its hidden band release buttons

Apple made changing your watch strap easy and went to great lengths to achieve it — including Rolex-precision manufacturing. Here’s the inside story on what Apple internally calls the X206 assembly of the Apple Watch.

I'm late on watching the Mandalorian season finale, but my favorite part was watching Mando play his own personal multiplayer match of Gun Game in Call of Duty, where he got a new weapon to use after each kill

Vampire Survivors is an indie hit quietly brimming with culture.
