Lots of folks haven't seen rock squirrels before since they are confined to the American southwest and the desert areas of Mexico. So here's a dude munching some lunch in Arizona I captured during my visit in September. #squirrel #wildlife #NaturePhotography #Arizona
@kevinhearne 'I'm with the werewolf on this one.'
@kevinhearne Hello, liddle sqeerrel.
@kevinhearne I haven’t seen one of those in ages! I grew up in way way west Texas and visited family in Arizona frequently. Been well over a decade since I’ve been out that way though.
@genn627 They’re kinda fascinating compared to other squirrels! The tails in particular aren’t used the way most squirrels use them. The diet is different too. I watched this one for quite a while.
@kevinhearne Eeee! They use their tails for shade! I’m mentally shouting “Squirrel!” and inwardly giggling with glee. Ahem. Back to being a responsible adult now. Thank you for your time, good sir. *hat doffed*
