Why Not Zoidberg? 🦑@kepilo @EmmaKennedy Different instances have different policies, for example a lot of servers block mastodon.scot due to controversial decisions regarding who they let join.
@WhyNotZoidberg @EmmaKennedy This renders Mastodon far less of a good thing if they're going to be blocking and effectively restricting access. On the face of it, sounds worse than Twitter.
@kepilo @EmmaKennedy no, it's better than Twitter. If you don't like the moderation policy of your instance find another. But keep in mind that almost all instances block things Twitter let slide like racism, transphobia, homophobia, etc.
The benefit is of course that unlike Twitter hate speech and other disgusting activities actually are blocked.
