Maybe you saw the news today that a Twitter engineer got fired by Elon, over Twitter.

I talked to him.

Hours have gone by and he's still had no messaging from the company.

He doesn't even know where to send his company laptop.

Twitter Engineer Fired On Twitter Calls Musk’s Team ā€˜A Bunch Of Cowards’

The Android developer frets over Twitter’s near-future: ā€œNo one trusts anyone within the company anymore.ā€

@cfarivar This highlights another weird thing I’ve noticed before about Elon Musk - apart from being impulsive (everybody knows that), he’s also weirdly suggestible. So much, like to a really unusual extent. I really do wonder if he would have fired the guy if people hadn’t hinted he should it in the replies…
@stephengentle @cfarivar when your ego is super brittle (like 45) and you do this sort of shit in public, he’d ā€œbe a cuckā€ if he didn’t fire the guy. Which means anyone can squeeze his ego and make him dance. It’d be sad if it wasn’t so pathetic.
