What ONE thing would you say has had the biggest influence on the person you are today?
@CriticalCupcake When I left my native country to find out what else is out there.

@CriticalCupcake This is so hard, as I know I'm the culmination of so many big and small events in my life. And also ignoring the boring answer of "my brain meds that let me function"...

I'd say 2005 - 2009 era (RTD era) Doctor Who. I was 10 when it came back on screens in spring 2005, and it shaped so much of my formative years. It got me through bullying and loneliness, and taught me so many good life lessons. I'd be a poorer person without it โค๏ธ

Something my father said to me once, as a throwaway comment when I had started digging a small garden out the front & gave up halfway:

Don't start anything that you can't finish.

Best advice ever from either parent.

@CriticalCupcake The character #Spock from #StarTrek.

Growing up it shaped my personality and planted the seeds for me to start questioning the dogmas I held as truth.

@CriticalCupcake maybe shit teachers ๐Ÿ˜…

@CriticalCupcake being ostracized all my life

Everything i am now was molded by constant stress, isolation, abuse and bigotry

@CriticalCupcake as corny as it might sound love. The intense euphoria of the feeling and the continued commitment in actions. This comes with the devastation of losing it. That or my mental illness

@CriticalCupcake probably gonna have to say the discovery of tiktaalik that was basically the domino that started the chain that led to me.

Either that or meeting @DangerHissy both are pretty equal.

@CriticalCupcake @CriticalCupcake honestly? I hate to say it but probably my trauma. For years it's defined who I am and how I react to things. As I'm slowly getting away from that and basically building my personality from the ground up the big influences are my love for @1Ring42 and my class and regional identity. You can tek me ow'or' Yorkshire, but you'll never tek Yorkshire ow'or' me!

@DangerHissy @CriticalCupcake

Dawe you're gonna make me melt.

@1Ring42 @CriticalCupcake payback for short circuiting my brain by calling me gorgeous and deadly
