I would like to call a cease fire to the idea of “pivot politics.”

Meaning: The idea that people who violate fundamentals of democracy openly, blatantly, freely, proudly, and consistently will somehow see the light after electoral losses and change their ways.

@jbf1755 I remember when we thought they were going to see Donald Trump for who he is, when they never did I realized that my beliefs about people and rationality had been in error. I've adjusted my assumptions a lot since then.
