@sridhar @mfowler @dsyme @Migueldeicaza @ploeh actually no. That works because @mekkaokereke is on a mastodon instance that has custom :verified: emoji. Every instance can define custom emoji than can be used in a toot. However, custom emoji in profiles only works on the instance that has them.
