When I started walking after my diabetes diagnosis, the first thing I did was buy a Fitbit Charge 3. Angie also bought one. That was December 2019 and they are now both dead.

I don't have the cash to buy a new one, but I'm already struggling with motivation.

Tracking my walking miles on a map has kept me going for more than 2,700 miles since the start of lockdown, which has made an enormous impact on my health.

I'll scrape up the cash for a Charge 5.

@davehogg surprised yours lasted so long. mine normally die within 13 months of purchase just outside of warranty :(
@alternageek I'm amazed. Our previous purchases from FitBit haven't been very durable, but I managed to keep this one going. This is the one Angie originally bought. She didn't use it for very long, so I took it when mine died.

@davehogg i thought if i spent a bit more money the thing would have a better life but nope. I sweat a lot and I really think thats what kills them. You'd think for an activity tracker they would be built to withstand sweat but.....

im upgrading to the pixel watch when my current FB dies. i only worry because the current watch isnt that waterproof. I occasionally goingswimming with it on...
