@equaton Sorry, I seem to have missed your reply before. Unfortunately I only played #Oceans so far, so not sure how exactly they compare. I believe Oceans is also in the Evolution line of games, but is a bit more different to the rest of the evolution games than they are to each other.
I really did enjoy my play of #Oceans and can warmly recommend it.

@equaton Another of our favourites! I have it with all the expansions (pet peeve: the expansions do not work together, you have to choose which to add in, which is a lot of work, so we always play with Climate now)

@Michaelvaliant I still need to try the expansions and looking forward it! Even if I was warned by an experienced player that the base game it’s just the best experience for more “competitive” play 😅

@equaton It really is. The base game is great, and very tight - it feels a little more primal because you are only thinking about building cool dinos and the jerk who went carnivore!

I loved Flight when it came out. And I like the extra layers of Climate, but both do tend to extend the game out a bit and it becomes less competitive (especially with Climate)

@equaton I play with my kids a lot (3 teenagers) and someone always gets upset by the carnivore play (always my oldest son) - Climate gives you more ways to mitigate the danger carnivores present so we play with Climate and I don't have to listen to an emo teen complaining about the death of their beloved dinosaur breed ;)

@Michaelvaliant ahhh I see ! I can imagine that happen! Countering the carnivore play could be tricky to do and if you lose the “momentum” you might not be able to do it at all ( I fail at that all the time 😂)

@equaton especially in the base game. It is easier to bounce back with the expansions (and to get rid of, or hide from carnivores)
