According to Private Eye, Kwasi Kwarteng has had a second job with Crispin Odey's hedge fund as a paid 'political advisor' at £20,000 a month ever since he was elected as an MP in 2010.

It is endless, isn’t it ? The corruption is endless.

@SheepyDreamings @3place after a spate of corruption in Ireland in the 80s/90s a 15 year & huge tribunal took place.

On corruption in public life, Judge Mahon stated in the report that:

"It continued because nobody was prepared to do enough to stop it. This is perhaps inevitable when corruption ceases to become an isolated event and becomes so entrenched that it is transformed into an acknowledged way of doing business.' Politicians were jailed."

@Bigbreakfast_Irl We're talking about a culture of complicity where a bunch of privileged individuals conduct back-scratching exercises, whilst bound by ridiculous rules that prevent them calling each other a liar.

@Bigbreakfast_Irl That is the one positive. But I hate to think what kind of state the country will be in by then. It’s likely that the greatest burden of their actions now will fall upon the next government.
